Gleaning

“Gleaning” means gathering crops from farmers fields that would otherwise not go to market and rot in the field. Crops like tomatoes, peppers, eggplant and squash are gleaned once a week during the growing season from Pariah Dog farm in Teaticket and then donated directly to the Falmouth Service Center through our Share Your Bounty program. If you would like to volunteer as a Gleaner during the 2021 season please contact us. All gleaners go home with a personal share of the harvest as a thank you for volunteering their time and energy!
