Where it started… Five years ago, former board member Tyler Baron set out to collect data, conduct surveys, and compile a comprehensive report on our local food system titled the Falmouth Food System Assessment (full document and executive summary available below).
Launched in Spring 2025 to a packed Hermann Room full of engaged community members, the 250-page assessment provided a crucial baseline for our work. In Winter 2026, we revisited these findings across four community discussions in different Falmouth villages. To guide these conversations, we created topic primers based on the assessment's five key findings, directly leading to the Shape Our Food Future Conference.

Executive Summary
This report sets out to build a comprehensive picture of the various components that amount to Falmouth’s food system. The primary objectives of the Falmouth Food System Assessment are twofold:
1. Establish a baseline of information that can be used to inform and track change within the food system.
2. Nurture a vision for a food future grounded in resilience and sustainability.
